Branding

Fly High With An Inspired And Inspiring Identity.

A logo is just where branding starts, not where it stops. We build the strategy, the name, the voice and the visual system that make people recognise you — and choose you.

Selected Work

Branding Work,
Up Close.

Five brands, five different business problems. In each one, the new logo was the smallest part of the job.

Capabilities

What We Actually Do.

Brand Positioning

Who you are, what you stand for, and the space you can credibly own. We ask the awkward questions early, while they’re still cheap.

Brand Strategy

Purpose, audience, architecture, messaging and a direction that holds up as the business grows and the market moves.

Naming & Verbal Identity

Names that are distinctive, sayable and available. Then the voice around them: taglines, messaging and a tone you’d recognise with the logo removed.

Brand Identity Design

The full visual vocabulary — logo, typography, colour, imagery, icons, motion, art direction — built to work at 12mm on a business card and across the front of a building.

Brand Guidelines & Lookbooks

Systems your teams, agencies and partners can actually use without calling us. Written to be opened more than once.

Brand Architecture

Master brands, sub-brands, launches, extensions, partnerships. Working out what earns its own identity and what genuinely doesn’t.

Rebranding & Repositioning

Changing what people think of you without losing the ones who already liked you. The hardest thing on this list, and the one we get asked for most.

Sector Specialisms

Deep experience across hospitality and F&B, technology and IT services, healthcare, education, manufacturing, consumer products and corporate groups. Different rules in each; we know which ones bend.

01 — What A Brand Actually Is

A Logo Is Not A Brand.
It’s One Part Of One.

Your brand is what people understand, feel and remember. A logo can’t carry that on its own, however good it looks. It needs a complete persona to reflect your vision — the colours it uses, how it is placed in a design, the subtle graphic elements it spawns — so each creative of yours is instantly recognisable.

We’ve been building brands for over 25 years, which is long enough to have watched some very handsome identities fail anyway. Almost always for the same reasons: the positioning was vague, the name was hard to own, or the brand guidelines were not defined, so every artwork looked like it was an individual creative.

So we build the whole thing — what you stand for, how you sound, how you look, and how all of it survives contact with the real world. Hotels, hospitals, manufacturers, IT services, education, FMCG, restaurants, real estate, first-week startups. Wildly different businesses, same opening question: what can this brand own that nobody else can?

Get the answer right and the logo gets easier. Skip it and no logo will save you.
02 — Why Us

Branding Is Our Superpower.
It’s Also Where We Started.

Aspiration was built on branding. Print, content and digital all came afterwards — each one added because a brand we’d created needed somewhere better for these services too, and we were tired of watching other people get it wrong.

That changes how we design an identity, because we already know what happens to it next. How the logo holds up embroidered on a uniform. How the colours behave on uncoated stock. How the visual system copes with a social calendar. Whether the tone of voice is still intact after the third person to inherit it.

Most brand agencies hand over a guidelines document and wish you luck. We hand over the document and then go and make the visiting card, email signature, signage.

Questions

Before You Ask.

A focused identity for a single outlet or a new venture: six to eight weeks. A group rebrand with architecture, naming, guidelines and rollout across locations: three to six months.

In our experience the timeline rarely turns on our production speed — it turns on how fast decisions get made at your end.

Often, yes — and sometimes we’ll tell you the logo was never the problem. Plenty of brands arrive certain they need a redesign when what they need is clearer positioning and a proper system around a mark that’s perfectly good.

We’ll say so, even though it’s the smaller invoice.

Yes. On completion and final payment, the agreed identity assets and working files are yours — source artwork, templates, the guidelines document.

Third-party font and image licences stay subject to their own terms, and we’ll tell you which those are up front.

An honest hour. What’s working, what isn’t, who you keep losing to and why you think that is.

Sales data, customer feedback and any earlier attempt that didn’t land are all useful — the attempt that failed is often the most useful thing in the room.

Yes, and it’s a common brief. Naming and verbal identity runs standalone: name, tagline, tone of voice, the rationale behind it and an initial availability check.

You’re free to take the name elsewhere afterwards, though we’d rather you didn’t.

We can handle all of it, and this is the real argument for using us. Signage, packaging, menus, uniforms, collateral, website, social — designed here, produced at our own print unit, installed by our team.

The identity that gets approved is the identity people actually see.

The exercise isn’t, but the wrong scope is. A single-location business may need a name, an identity, a few key applications and a short usage guide — not a 90-page brand book it will never open.

Paying for the big version is how small businesses conclude that branding was a waste of money.

It’s our deepest sector, not our only one. Our work spans IT and technology, healthcare and pharma, education, manufacturing, consumer products, spirits and beverage, real estate and corporate communications.

The branding process doesn’t change much across sectors — what changes is what you have to be careful about, and that’s the part experience buys you.
