Everything People Ask Us, Answered Straight.
Scope, money, timelines, ownership, production, AI and jobs. If your question isn’t here, ask it — we will answer it and then add it to this page.
The Basics
Who we are, where we are and what we actually do.
Five disciplines under one roof: branding, design, content, digital and print. Positioning and identity at one end, a printed and installed piece of signage at the other, and everything in between.
The difference most people notice first is the last part. We run our own production unit, so the work does not stop at approved artwork — it stops when the thing exists.
Over 25 years. Branding and design from the beginning, print production for the last 15, digital for the last decade. Bangalore throughout.
We did not set out to be a full-service conglomerate. Each discipline was added because a brand we had built needed a better home for that service than the one available.
Yes, but we arrived here by solving problems, not by acquiring companies. We cover branding, design, content, digital and print because a brand needs all of them to function properly in the real market.
Our studio is in Kodihalli, Bangalore, and our print and production unit is at Dyavasandra Industrial Estate, Mahadevapura.
We work with clients across India and internationally, and we ship finished production work to sites and events nationwide.
Hospitality and F&B is our deepest sector — hotels, restaurants, bars and resorts. Beyond that: alco-bev, technology and IT services, banking and consulting, lifestyle and retail, FMCG, pharmaceutical and healthcare, real estate and construction, manufacturing and education.
We do not specialise in one industry. We specialise in finding what a brand can own that nobody else can.
Over 250 brands, including ITC Hotels, Infosys, Pernod Ricard, Diageo, GSK, Britannia, Hilton, Marriott, Samsung, Shangri-La, Four Seasons, Club Mahindra, RCI and The Bombay Store.
The full list is on our client roster, grouped by industry.
Everyone from legacy corporate groups and global hotel chains to first-week startups.
The fundamental process of building an effective brand does not change with scale. Only the scope of the rollout does — and getting that scope right is most of the job.
Working Together
How an engagement is set up and run.
No. Many clients work with us only for print, or only for social media management, or only for a rebrand.
The 360° offering is an option, not a condition. You can use one service and still get the benefit of a team that understands how the other four work.
Send us the awkward brief. The deadline everyone is nervous about, the format nobody has cracked, or the brand identity that keeps not quite working.
We would rather quote from an honest sketch than a precise brief that turns out to be wrong. Use the contact page, or write to soar@aspiration.in.
We prefer conversations over speculative creative work. If you have a brief, we will give you an honest hour to discuss what is working, what isn’t, and what it will take to fix it.
What you get from that hour is a point of view and a scope with costs — not a set of unpaid concepts built on guesswork.
One person who owns your account and stays with it. You will not be sold to by one team and then handed to another.
Because the studio is small enough to sit in one room, you will also usually be talking directly to the people making the work rather than relaying through a layer.
Less than you might expect at the start, and more than you might expect at the decision points. We need an honest brief, access to whoever can actually approve, and reasonably quick feedback.
In our experience a timeline rarely turns on our production speed. It turns on how fast decisions get made at your end.
The opposite, in our view. We focus on the larger thinking — brand strategy, the central campaign idea, look and feel, the customer journey — and your internal team carries it forward through adaptations, day-to-day deployment and quick turnarounds.
That split frees everyone to do what they do best. We have written about why at length in The Ideal Think Tank.
Yes, and we often do — particularly where a media or PR agency is already in place.
What we ask for is clarity on who owns which decision. Most friction between agencies is not about talent; it is about two people believing they own the same call.
A good part of our work is for clients elsewhere in India and abroad. Reviews run over video, files and proofs go digitally, and finished production ships to site.
For print jobs where material and finish matter, we will send physical samples before the run rather than ask you to approve a colour on a screen.
Pricing & Payment
What things cost and how billing works.
All three. One-off projects are quoted as a scope with a fixed cost. Ongoing work such as social media and content calendars usually runs on a monthly retainer. Print and production is quoted per job against specification.
Many clients use a blend: a retainer for the continuous work and project quotes for the campaigns and launches on top.
Yes. A good part of our work is single projects for small and mid-sized businesses — a restaurant identity, a packaging range, a website, a print job.
Because production is in-house and there is no chain of vendors adding a margin, costs are usually more reasonable than people expect.
Not a fixed one. What we do have is a view on whether a budget can produce work worth putting your name on.
If it can’t, we will say so at the first conversation rather than take the brief and under-deliver on it.
Quotes are shown excluding GST unless stated otherwise. Advertising and creative services in India attract GST at the prevailing rate, currently 18%, and this is added on the invoice.
If you are GST-registered, that amount is generally available to you as input tax credit, subject to the usual conditions.
Terms are set out in each estimate before work begins. Project work is typically split between an advance on commissioning and the balance on delivery; retainers are invoiced monthly.
Print and production runs are quoted per job, and material is ordered against a confirmed purchase order.
The quote covers our work: strategy, creative, artwork, project management and, where relevant, production.
Third-party costs are shown separately and billed at actual — media spend, licensed fonts and stock imagery, talent and model fees, location and permission charges, courier and installation. You always see what these are before they are committed.
Third-party costs are passed through transparently and identified as such on the estimate. Where a handling or supervision fee applies, it is stated as a line item rather than buried in the rate.
You will not find a cost on our invoice that you were not shown in advance.
Process & Timelines
How long things take and how the work runs.
An honest hour. What’s working, what isn’t, who you keep losing to and why you think that is.
Sales data, customer feedback and any earlier attempt that didn’t land are all useful. The attempt that failed is often the most useful thing in the room.
A focused identity for a single outlet or a new venture: six to eight weeks. A group rebrand with architecture, naming, guidelines and rollout across locations: three to six months.
The variable is rarely our production speed. It is how quickly decisions are made and how many people have to agree.
A focused marketing site usually runs eight to twelve weeks from brief to launch. Larger builds with portals, integrations or multi-language content take longer.
Content is almost always the critical path. Sites are rarely delayed by design or development; they are delayed by copy and photography that hasn’t been signed off.
It depends entirely on specification, quantity and finish. A straightforward run can turn around in days; specialty materials, custom die-cuts and fabrication need longer for material sourcing and prototyping.
Send us the spec — size, quantity, material, finish — and we will come back with a realistic date rather than an optimistic one.
Each estimate states the rounds included at each stage, so nobody is guessing halfway through. Within those rounds we would rather you were honest than polite.
Revisions beyond the agreed scope, or a change of direction after a stage has been signed off, are quoted separately before we proceed — never billed as a surprise.
Tell us early and we will re-plan around it. Because we own our production floor, moving a date usually means rescheduling our own machines rather than renegotiating with someone else’s.
That is the single most practical advantage of production being in-house, and it shows up most on the jobs that go wrong.
Ownership & Confidentiality
Who owns what, and how your information is handled.
Yes. On completion and final payment, the agreed assets and working files are yours — source artwork, templates and the guidelines document.
This follows the normal position in Indian agency practice: rights in the final approved deliverables assign to the client once payment is received in full.
Third-party licences stay subject to their own terms and are held in your name wherever the licence allows it. We tell you which items are licensed, on what basis and for how long, before they are used.
This matters more than it sounds. A licence that lapses or does not cover the territory you have expanded into is a common and entirely avoidable problem.
We retain our own pre-existing tools, techniques and internal know-how — what the contracts call background IP. What we make for you is yours.
We also ask for the right to show the finished work in our portfolio, which is a separate question and one you can decline.
Yes. We work regularly on unlaunched brands, unannounced properties and pre-launch packaging, and confidentiality is a normal part of that.
Send us yours, or ask us for ours.
We ask, and we accept no for an answer. Where work is under embargo we will hold it until you are ready, and where it is permanently confidential we simply do not show it.
If you would like something removed from our site or our brochure, write to us and it comes down.
Details submitted through forms on this site are used only to respond to that enquiry. We do not sell them and we do not share them with third parties for marketing.
The full position is in our privacy policy. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to soar@aspiration.in.
Print & Production
The part most agencies outsource and we do ourselves.
Because it changes what is possible to design. It means we know whether a specific foil will work on a specific board before we pitch the idea.
It saves our clients money, protects the integrity of the design, and removes the finger-pointing between agency and printer that eats weeks on a bad job.
End-to-end printing, menu production, table-top display, branding and display production, packaging, event space production, POS fabrication, prototyping, 3D printing, paper bags, and gift procurement and customisation.
Specialty materials and luxury finishes are a large part of what the unit exists for.
Yes. Plenty of clients come to us with finished artwork and a specification and use the production unit on its own.
Send the spec — size, quantity, material, finish — and we will quote against it. If we spot something in the artwork that will cause trouble on press, we will tell you before we print it.
Yes, including signage, event environments and retail and office branding. Designed here, produced at our own unit, installed by our team.
The point of doing all three is simple: the identity that gets approved is the identity people actually see.
Yes. Short runs, prototypes and single mock-ups are a routine part of the work, and prototyping before a full run is something we actively encourage.
It is far cheaper to discover that a fold cracks on one sample than on ten thousand.
Proofs are produced on the actual stock wherever the job allows, because colour behaves differently on coated and uncoated material and a screen will not tell you the truth about either.
For clients outside Bangalore, physical proofs are couriered before the run is committed.
Digital & Performance
Websites, campaigns, search and social.
Both. UI/UX design, website development, web apps and portals are all in-house.
Designing a site without building it is how you end up with a beautiful design that quietly becomes something else during development.
Social media management, media planning, digital campaign management, influencer marketing, SEO and SEM, social listening, UI/UX design, website development, and web apps and portals.
Against business outcomes rather than vanity metrics. Which numbers matter depends on the brief — enquiries, bookings, footfall, qualified traffic — and we agree them before a campaign starts, not after it.
Reporting cadence and format are set at the start of the engagement so you know what arrives and when.
We plan and manage campaigns, and media spend is shown separately from our fee so you can always see what went to the platform and what came to us.
Whether the spend is billed through us or paid directly from your own accounts is your call.
Search moves slowly and honestly: expect meaningful organic movement over months, not weeks. Paid search generates usable data far sooner.
Anyone promising you first-page rankings on a fixed date is selling you something they cannot control.
AI & How We Use It
Where the machine helps and where it doesn't.
Yes, where it genuinely saves time and money — research, drafting, iteration, variations and some production tasks — always directed by our own designers and writers so the output stays on brand.
Strategy, the central idea and the final craft remain human, and we tell clients plainly where AI was used.
No. Where AI has been used in producing something you are buying, we say so.
Our position is that AI is a tool, and like every tool its output is directly proportional to the person using it. That is an argument for better people, not fewer.
Yes. Some sectors and some legal teams require it, and we will work to that constraint if you set it.
Tell us at the start rather than midway, because it affects how we scope and price the work.
We think it makes the good ones more useful and the average ones less. What AI removes is drudgery, which frees more energy for the parts that actually decide whether work succeeds: the central idea, the story, the craft.
Our longer argument is in The Ideal Think Tank.
Working Here
For people thinking about joining us.
We are always interested in strategists, writers, designers, art directors, digital specialists and production people. Current disciplines and how to apply are on the careers page.
If nothing listed fits you, send your portfolio anyway. If the work is good, we will find a reason to talk to you.
Not necessarily. We care about the quality of your thinking and the craft in your execution.
If your portfolio proves you can solve real business problems, we don’t mind whether you learned that at an agency, in-house, or on your own.
We work from our studio in Bangalore. Collaboration here is physical — writers looking at the same screen as designers, teams walking down to the print floor to check a wet proof.
That doesn’t happen well over a video call.
A conversation, not an interrogation. We usually start with a portfolio review to understand how you think and why you made the choices you made.
If that goes well, you meet the people you would actually be working with.
A link to your portfolio and a brief note telling us what you are good at and what you want to be doing.
Please skip the generic, AI-generated cover letters. We read everything, and those read as exactly what they are.
Yes, and several of them have stayed. An internship here is not a filing job — you will work on live briefs and see them through to production.
Write to soar@aspiration.in with your portfolio and the dates you are available.
Nothing here matches that. Try a different word — or just ask us directly and we will answer it properly.
